Description
The course is basically an introductory course to materials physics. At the beginning of the course, many concepts introduced in Quantum Mechanics I are revised.

Practicalities
There are pre-assignments to be completed before each lecture which are worth 2 points.
In addition, there are weekly homework sheets giving 15 points each.
The evaluation criteria are approximately as follows: 70% from the final exam and 30% from the exercises.

Trivia
Usually a cheat sheet is not allowed in the final exam, so be prepared to learn formulas by heart. Fortunately, the exam has more “explain this phenomenon” -types of questions than calculations.
